At the beginning of the program, RCSC employee Prabin Manandhar gave a brief historical background on Russian Space Science. Then Mr. Suresh Bhattarai, Secretary-General of NASO, made a brief presentation on Space Science in Russia and Nepal. He also said that NASO has been working closely with RCSC since October 7, 2007, and that Nepalese students have a high interest in studying Space Science in Russia. He also said that every year various Astronomical Olympiads are organized for this purpose, in which more and more students and high school students participate every year.
Further, during the event, RCSC Employee A. Kotlyarov noted that, despite the fact that many countries have made significant progress in the space industry at the present time, Russia is still advanced in this area, and also has great knowledge, is famous for numerous discoveries, has tremendous experience and a rich history of space activities, and has a huge potential in this area.
The conference was also attended by students who are directly or indirectly related to space science and would like to study in Russia in the future in specialties related to the Space Industry.
At the end of the conference, A. Kotlyarov gave comprehensive answers to all the questions of the participants concerning Russia as a Space Power in general and Russian Education in the field of Space Science in particular.
