On December 4, 2020, Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Kathmandu hosted a lecture program dedicated to the famous Russian lyricist Afanasy Afanasyevich Fet, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the poet's birth.
Today marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Russian poet-lyricist Afanasy Afanasyevich. His poems are known all over the world. A.A. Fet was also a translator, memoirist, corresponding member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences. ⠀
A unique, talented artist of words, Fet skillfully painted images of the Motherland and the beauty of its nature in his works.
On the anniversary of the poet, festive events and lectures are held at Russian Centre of Science and Culture.
Prabin Manandhar, librarian at Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Kathmandu, gave a short lecture on the famous Russian poet, also known as the “poet of emotions!” and “adoring beauty”.
At the same time, an exhibition of collections of poems by A. A. FET was organized at library of Russian Centre of Science and Culture, which each guest could read.
